Investments For You, Inc. Privacy Policy
Your Privacy is Important to Us
We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of personal information entrusted to us by current and prospective customers. We want you to know how we protect your information and how we use it to service your account. We hope you will take a moment to review this Privacy Policy.
What Personal Information Do We Collect?
We collect information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, and social security number; and information about your transactions with us or others.
Is Personal Information Shared with Others?
We will not disclose any non-public personal information about you or about any other customers or former customers except as authorized by law, as described in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise communicated to you.
The law permits disclosure of information in certain instances, such as if we must share information to protect against fraud, in response to a court subpoena, and the like.
We may also share selected financial information about you within our family of companies in order to better serve you and to offer you worthwhile products or services. We may share your personal information on a confidential basis only with authorized employees, representatives, and third parties whose services are required to assure the highest level of service to you. We will disclose only financial information that is necessary to such individuals, or companies who perform marketing services on our behalf, or to other financial institutions with whom we have agreements. For your protection, our agreements with these companies require that they also keep your personal information in the strictest of confidence, just as we do.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
Reasonable care will be taken to keep pertinent records current, complete, and accurate. If you see any inaccuracy in your statements or any other communication from us, we would appreciate your assistance in making corrections by contacting us.
We will protect all information collected about you, and we will follow standard practices to actively protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of your personal information. We will restrict access to your non-public information by maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Should you become an inactive client, we will continue to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information in accordance with this policy.
What is our “Business Continuity Plan”?
In the event of a significant business disruption, Investments For You, Inc., has put into place procedures so that we will be able to continue business during the interruption. We anticipate two possible scenarios for an interruption, including an internal disruption affecting only our firm, or an external disruption that would prevent the operation of the securities markets or a number of firms. If the disruption is external, Investments For You, Inc. will rely on other organizations and systems to restore business functions and will continue business to the extent that outside sources such as the stock market have made alternate arrangements available. If it is an internal disruption, clients will be able to access their funds directly through the fund companies that maintain their funds. We will continue to operate by moving our staff from the affected area to an alternate location and will continue to communicate with customers and fund companies through whatever alternate methods are available. Customers will be notified of the alternate means of contact by their investment representative, and to the extent possible, alternative contact information will be posted on our website.
